Sunshine, Chilled Out, Fun, Fun, Fun!

Welcome to Brisbane

Have you ever thought about visiting Brisbane?

If you’ve ever been before, you will no doubt want to go back, but if you’ve never headed to this east coast sunshine city, you might need a nudge in the right direction. The bottom line is that once you have visited Brisbane, you will be totally sold on it as a destination in its own right, despite the fact that it is often used as a base for the surrounding area, namely the Great Barrier Reef!

Finding somewhere to stay in this huge metropolis is not a problem, and there are many cheap hotels Brisbane to choose from, meaning that there is something for every budget and need. If you stay centrally, this is obviously going to be better than staying on the outskirts, but perhaps you prefer the more residential areas; in that case, there is still plenty of choice.

What can you do in Brisbane? It’s probably easier to answer the question of what can’t you do! This is a big city, and one which is packed with activities to enjoy. The capital of Queensland is the ideal base to check out some of the more natural areas, such as the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast, and the slightly further away, but quite easy to reach, Whitsunday Islands – never miss out on a chance to visit these totally idyllic islands!

The city itself is vibrant and laid back, in fact, it is one of the most friendly cities you’re likely to come across. The view from Wilson’s Outlook over the centre of the city is a picture you need in your collection, as well as the wide reaching view from Kangaroo Point. If you love shopping, then you should visit Queen Street Mall in the CBD, as this is certainly going to some damage to your credit card! If you like nightlife and live music, head to Fortitude Valley, where you will find some of the best live entertainment in the whole country.

South Bank is a more bohemian kind of vibe, with cafes, restaurants, clubs, and even a beach, where you can chill out before continuing your city break fun. For something a little more upmarket, be sure to head to New Farm, where you will find the Beautiful People!

There is far too much to mention when it comes to Brisbane, and the best advice really is to head there and see it for yourself. This is not just any old city, as the ever-present (or seemingly ever-present) sunshine and laid back vibe really does permeate into the consciousness of everyone who visits.
